Family Activity: Exploring the Investigative RIASEC Theme

Purpose: To explore the Investigative RIASEC theme together as a family and discuss interests.

Materials Needed:

  • A device to watch video linked below
  • Pencils for tally marks and a piece of paper or the Investigative Theme Self-Reporting Activity Resource
English Resource
Spanish Resource

Steps:

1. Choose a Video:

  • Pick one video below based on your child’s age.

2. Watch the Video:

  • Make a tally mark every time you see or hear something that interests your child.

3. After the Video:

  • Count the tally marks.
  • Discuss as a family:
    • Do family members have a similar number of Investigative tally marks?
    • What are some Investigative activities that you would enjoy doing?
